Principal Bio

Michael Starling has been a part of the Crandall ISD family since 2019, where he served as the assistant principal for Hollis T. Dietz Elementary School and then became principal of Walker Elementary in 2021. He began his career in education 13 years ago and has a background as a social worker. His wife of 11 years, Jayla Starling, is also an educator, and they have a daughter that attends CISD.

Mr. Starling was promoted to Crandall Middle School Principal in January 2023.
