Crandall ISD has earned an “A” rating for Superior Achievement under the state's School FIRST financial accountability rating system. This is the 18th year for the system and remarkably, the 18th year for CISD to receive superior marks.
Letter ratings have been in place for the past 5 years, and the district has received an A each year. Even more impressive is CISD has received a perfect score of 100 four-of-five times, including this year.
The School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) was developed by Texas Education Agency to ensure that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices. The main focus is to maximize the possible allocation of resources for direct instructional purposes.
This accomplishment continues to showcase Crandall ISD’s commitment to financial stewardship, integrity and a focus on students first.
"Our district has an outstanding history of financial management," said CISD Superintendent Dr. Wendy Eldredge. "CISD taxpayers support us in our quest to provide the best learning available for almost 5,000 Pirates and we, in turn, continue honoring their investment with fiscal responsibility that is second to none."
