Pirate Success Team (PST)
About: The CMS Pirate Success Team is the campus decision making committee whose responsibility is to enact a success plan, and provide assistance to individual students who are having academic or behavioral difficulties in school. The team is responsible for implementing a problem-solving approach to identify and intervene in response to students' needs within the arena of general education.
What is RtI: Response to intervention (RtI) is a method of academic intervention used to provide early, systematic assistance to students who are having difficulty learning. RtI seeks to prevent academic failure through early intervention, frequent progress monitoring, and increasingly intensive research-based instructional interventions for students who continue to have difficulty. RtI is a multi-tiered approach for aiding students that is adjusted and modified as needed.
